だから
So? (so what), what does that mean?(Interrogation)
JLPT
N4
Structure
Used in conversation, followed by 「だから」 is a question.
Signification
Used in conversations, following 「だから」 is a question. This usage is not to indicate a cause-and-effect relationship, but to request the listener to clarify the speaker's intention, after receiving the speaker's statement, by asking "So, what are you trying to say?". It can be replaced with 「それで」 or 「で」. Sometimes pronounced with a rising intonation, then a half-paused tone in the latter half of the sentence. Because it has a somewhat impolite nuance, even if the end of the sentence is in a polite form, it's difficult to use 「ですから」 in this form of expression.
