意味
「に堪える」indicates that something is worth doing, worthwhile, or deserving of being done.
For the negative form to express the opposite, we use「に堪えない」. When modifying a noun, there are two ways to say it:「堪えないNだ」or「堪えるNではない」.
Some verbs commonly used with this structure are: 見る (to see), 聞く (to hear), 読む (to read), 鑑賞する (to appreciate), 批判する (to criticize), 正視する (to face, to confront).
