さ

「さ」is used to turn adjectives into nouns.
Many adjectives can be nominalized by adding either the suffix 「さ」or 「み」, but they have slightly different meanings.
The suffix 「さ」emphasizes the degree and is more objective. The adjective it accompanies often describes something measurable like size, weight, etc. Or if it's an adjective describing emotions,「さ」will express a shared feeling that many people can perceive about an object or event, which can be somewhat shared among them.
On the other hand, the suffix 「み」emphasizes the quality or condition and is more subjective. This quality or condition needs to be experienced in reality to be understood, such as flavor, warmth, etc. Or it could be emotions that are perceived only by individuals and therefore difficult to share with others.
Examples: 強さ (strength) and 強み (strong point); 甘さ (sweetness) and 甘み (sweetness)
