意味
「だけ」follows quantifiers, nouns, verbs, or adjectives to indicate the limit of what is being mentioned, meaning 'only' or 'just', emphasizing that there is nothing else beyond that.
The particles「を」and「が」can come after「だけ」or can be omitted. On the other hand, particles like「に」「で」and「から」can come before or after 「だけ」. However, it's important to note that the order of particles can change the meaning of the sentence.
Examples:
- 自分は保険証でだけ証明できる。 (One can only prove themselves with an insurance card. No other way to prove.)
- 自分は保険証だけで証明できる。 (One can prove themselves with just an insurance card. No need for anything else.)
「だけ」can be used in both affirmative and negative sentences, often with a neutral or positive tone, unlike「しか」which tends to have a negative tone.
