意味
This structure is used to express a continuous state that remains unchanged. It comes after a noun, the na-adjective, or the i-adjective ナ or イ to express a state that started in the past and continues unchanged up to now. Additionally, when it comes after a verb in the past tense form 「V-た」, it expresses the idea that the action represented by 「V-た」 continues to maintain that state even after it has ended.
It is often used in contexts where "if things were normal, it would naturally happen afterwards, but it hasn't happened yet."
